NBR – Neon Bright Red

This is the recommended – by Japanese anglers, hence it might differ in Europe - neon bright for morning and evening Eging sessions, which is the time when the activity of squids is good. The Neon Bright Red (NBR) appeals to squids even in low UV conditions.

NBG - Neon Bright Green

If the water is murky and visibility is low, it is difficult for ultraviolet rays to reach far, so Yamashita avoided the Keimura colors that emit ultraviolet rays. However, the introduction of neon bright green (NBG), creates a prominent effect, makes the presence of the squid jig known and offers anglers the possibility to fish cephalopods even in such conditions.

NBB - Neon Bright Blue

The Neobra Blue is recommended for situations when the water is clear and there is high transparency. Neobra Blue emits light firmly, even in situations where there is less ultraviolet light than usual.

There was one "Egi King" on the block, Japanese company Yamashita announced in a video that started a new page in the History of the Egging book. The Neon Bright squid jigs (called in short Neobra) have been based on Yamashita's new technology, which makes the squid jigs shine like neon when it comes in contact with ultraviolet rays. But now there is a contender for the crown and it is called Egi-OH K Neon Bright.

This is Yamashita’s next generation, UV Ray reflection, Neon bright squid jigs, available in new colors.

The Neon Bright technology is a breakthrough as it completely changes the conventional concept of Egis’ color. When an angler thinks of "UV reflection", he thinks of Keimura (a fluorescent purple color, which emits pale light when exposed to ultraviolet rays) and Glow (which stores the energy of Ultraviolet rays and emits yellow-green light). Fluorescence colors have the property of receiving the energy of ultraviolet light and converting it into visible light. The light wavelength variation in this, new series emits light in red, blue, and green.

The Neon Bright, creates the optimum UV emission appeal. If the Egi is not exposed to ultraviolet rays, it has a clear body.

But when it is exposed to ultraviolet rays, it emits red, blue, and green like neon colors.

It is believed that squids have an excellent ability to distinguish the shades of colors and the amount of light. There are 3 color variations in the Egi-OH K series being produced by Yamashita. These combinations are distinguished as per the color of back.

Three more technologies have been incorporated in the Yamashita Egi OH K Neon Bright Squid Jigs. Part of the tail of the K Neon Bright have 490 Glowing elements, to attract squid attacks, close to the pins. The appeal of the 490 glowing colors, further enhances the search capabilities of the particular squid jigs (에기).

Secondly the Yamashita (야마시타) has added the Warm Jacket technology in the Egi OH K Neon Bright squid jigs (에기). Cephalopods can distinguish their prey even by tiny variations in the prey’s body temperature. These differences from the surrounding temperature can be as small as 0,5⁰C or 1⁰C. The Warm jacket can retain heat much longer than any other fabric and thus, when we “charge” our squid jig (에기) with a UV flash light, the temperature created by the UV light emission, or even by simply holding the jig in our palm for a while, can generate the extra temperature that we need.

The Yamashita (야마시타) Egi-OH K Series has the most stable sinking posture and is a true value in all weather conditions. They are equipped with a breakthrough development in squid design, the Hydro Fins, that were developed and mounted in order to achieve swimming action. The transparent Hydro Fin plays a role, such as the rudder in a ship, that eliminates wobbling in windy and wavy conditions. With the Hydro Funs the K Series squid jig (에기) will continue to sink in a straight line. Another factor that Yamashita (야마시타) successfully tackled with the Hydro Fin, is the excessive darting action, from left to right, that squids find unattractive. The effect of the Hydro Fin is not to inspire unnecessarily wariness to the squid.
